There was a tub of mayo on the verge of expiring sitting in the fridge, so I decided to make cake. It is delicious and moist, and SO easy. I really should do this more often. The icing is to die for, so chocolately. Mmmmmm...

W shaved off his beard for a job interview. I think the way he went about shaving it was quite funny.

Hurrah for weekends! Man did I ever deserve this one. Beautiful weather in Victoria this week, it hit about 25 or so today. I went and read my new magazines by Delta Ocean Point in the sun.

First Raspberry of the Year!
They taste better if you put them on all your fingers and nibble them off. Also, if you eat them little tiny juice-ball by juice-ball.

At the sundial by Ogden Point at about 1700 Pacific Daylight Savings Time, or about 1600 Pacific Standard Time. Sundials do NOT spring forward nor fall back.

On account of I worked 17 hours in a 24 hour period I did not take a photo on July 3rd. Hence, these next two photos are on the same day. These things happen once in a while, and I needed some sleep dammit. lol.
I biked out to the Pride Festival and then onwards to the ocean! I checked out the breakwater at Ogden Point, and took some photos of the spray. I got hit by the spray while biking down the road, it was AWESOME.

Happy Canada Day!
Victoria had a bunch of historical buildings open to guided tours for the public for free today! I went to a temple in Chinatown, the Masonic Lodge, the synagogue, and the City Hall Clock Tower. SO COOL. I was in the tower when the bell rang at 2pm. It was surprisingly quiet, but very shaky.
I have a feeling I'll end up posting a bunch of my other photos, but they are not as good as I would have liked as I need to improve taking photos inside with low-light conditions. I feel like using the settings on my camera already designated for these situations is kind of like cheating; I want to know how to do it myself.

On my way to go pay rent today, I saw a beautiful churchyard with all sorts of blooms in it. No idea what kind of flowers these are, but they are so beautiful.
Beautiful day, followed by a pretty solid couple hours of work.

Yesterday was pretty busy. I had my first day shift I've had in awhile, which was alright. Busy, but not so bad. I went and read for a while with my coworker, which was fun. Made a delicious dinner of chicken and roasted potatoes. We went up to DQ for ice cream after dinner, so good.
I got distracted and didn't end up taking a photo, and didn't remember until I was already in bed half asleep. So, here's me, drinking tea and watching Dexter today, hanging out before work.

Overexposed shot of an empty lot with broken down buildings in the next lot over in Chinatown. I accidentally didn't check my ISO settings from last night, but I like this one anyways. I took some other ones, but I really like the overexposed washing out of the sky and grasses. I think it brings out the dilapidated buildings.
I spent a couple hours laying on some grass reading out by the Songhees. It's so beautiful over there, I keep meaning to spend more time there.
Also, I got at least a B in physics. Depends on the rounding of my grade. We're hoping for B+ still!

Feeling all dreamy. Had a bunch of beer down at the pub tonight with W and some lovely friends.
I love beer. It's too delicious. I do not want to work early tomorrow morning, Ugh. Oh well. I'll be at my work from 8:30 to 3:30, if anyone wants to say hi.

I'm tired. Just got home from work and 7-11 (I needed a hot dog and popcorn. There's only so many options at midnight in this town). Good day at work though! Got to work with two of my favourite coworkers that I never work with together, so that was fun. Tired though. Going to bed.
Took this photo by the light of my monitor because it's too hot to keep the doors closed and the lights on and Wes is sleeping because he works at 7am. Which is why I'm going to bed, cause I'll be up at 6am with him. Ugh. I hate mornings.

Reflection in the espresso machine at work. Got some other good ones, but I like this one the best.
Long day at work, even though we got out earlier than anticipated. I worked from 2:30pm to midnight, which is loooooong. Shorter than being there until 1am though, which is nice. Dim Sum tomorrow, SO EXCITED! Never had it before, I'm looking forward. I hope my annoying neighbours shut up soon, I'm tired.

First photo of the morning. Just after a cup of coffee. New scarf I bought for like, $8 yesterday. Must remember to make a different face tomorrow.
Just finished work, well about 40 minutes ago. I'm tired! It was a long day. It was incredibly slow for the first 7 hours of the shift, and then it got busy from about 10 until 11:30ish. I don't mind it being busy, but would prefer it to be busier earlier, so I'm not so worn out yet not sleepy at the end of my shift. Ugh. Well, here's hoping tomorrow is less nutso.
